Update/New website

First update on here in a few years.

We now have a new website to buy merch from since bandcamp removed our page for unknown reasons.

www.minenwerfer1914.com

I will attempt to keep this page more up to date, but more will be posted at the new website.

Ich hatt einen Kameraden

Our new split with Ukrainian death doom masters 1914 is finally out. Released though Archaic Sound, this what they have to say:

"New split release between powerful war-machines from the New World and the Old World: militant black metal by MINENWERFER vs. blackened death-doom by 1914. During the Great War, their grandfathers were on different sides of the trench, but 100 years later, music has bonded them together.

Ich hatt einen Kameraden is not only eight musical tracks; it’s history - a history of battles on the Eastern front during 1914-1915, during the Carpathian and Masurian campaigns.

It's a history of people who lived, loved, fought, and died. This painting of the Great War, which claimed the lives of over 40 million people, changed the world and destroyed the greatest empires of the Old World.

Ich hatt einen Kameraden - I had a comrade!
I had!
But he left lying on the slopes of the Carpathian Mountains, in the snowy woods of Masuria, he choked gas under Bolimov, he remained forever to look at the gray sky of East Prussia.
I had a comrade. But war engulfed him.
She always chooses everything.
War. War never changes."

CD can be purchased now though Archaic Sound. Tapes through Worship Tapes coming soon.

We will be getting copies available in North America shortly and this will be available as well at gigs.

Reissues and split with Sturmtiger

Recently, we released a split with Sturmtiger on both cassette and vinyl format.

The material on our side of the split is dated back to 2010-2011, and was meant to be released years ago. It is our only material to date unrelated to WWI, but rather warriors of antiquity.

This release came out on cassette through Worship Tapes and Vama Marga Productions and vinyl through Purity Through Fire.

Recently a high quality re-release of the first album Volkslieder was released though

Vanguard Productions and Freezing Records

All of these will be available from us directly at our show April 7th with Absu.

In other news, the Facebook page, after over a year of fighting with the schwul that run that website, finally handed over the page to us. So, it can now be considered official, and we can be reached though there, although email is still preferred.

Check back here for more updates. A new release awaits around the corner that we are very excited and proud to soon unveil. We will also be hitting the studio in a few months once again for another project.

The Return

After almost three years of silence, we return to the front.

We will have a lot of new merch in limited quantities including tapes, vinyl, and shirts. These will only be available at upcoming shows

Also please remember the facebook page is not official or run by any member of the band. Facebook will not comply with our request to have the page deleted. This page and the bandcamp page are the only official pages at the time. All contact and queries can be made from here.

Minenwerfer Web pages

At this moment this is the only official Minenwerfer webpage.

All other accounts are unauthorized or fake including any trendy garbage websites such as Facebook, Myspace, or Reverbnation.

If you see any pages on said websites, flag them as being fake.

Thank you.

New EP on Vinyl

2014 is death

Minenwerfer has ceased to be. Thank you for the support over the last seven years.

We still have three releases planned to be unleashed upon the world. More updates on those as the details are ironed out.

We made it to the centennial of the Great War, it's more than we ever expected to reach upon starting this journey.

Perhaps we will make a return. I intend to return at some point when conditions are better, even if just as a solo project, in which Minenwerfer was originally conceived.

Nihilistischen Released

Nihilistischen has finally had a CD release.

To listen and/or purchase (as a download or on CD) please go to our bandcamp page: http://minenwerfer.bandcamp.com/album/nihilistischen

We're already working on material for our next release. Hopefully it won't have as many delays as this did.

We've visited the trenches of the 1914-1918 Western Front on Volkslieder, and the minefields of North Sea with Nihilistischen. Prepare to be taken to the Balkans with the Dual-Monarchy for the next release.
